Breaking News: Azeez Ojulari Declares for the NFL Draft
The Defensive MVP of the Peach Bowl, Azeez Ojulari, officially entered his name into the NFL Draft. Ojulari, the junior, is entering into the NFL Draft process as one of the best pass rushers in the draft class this season.
Through just two seasons as a starter at the JACK outside linebacker position, Azeez will go down as one of the most dangerous pass rushers to ever wear the red and black. Ojulari finished his career as a Dawg the same way he entered Athens stardom.
Azeez is a projected as a top-60 pick in this year’s Draft. Reports said that Azeez would opt out of the Peach Bowl and begin preparation for the Draft. Kirby Smart later corrected in his press conference that Azeez intended on playing in the game.
In an era full of highly projected draft picks opting out of non-playoff bowl games, Ojulari decided to take the risk of injury and play one last game with the Bulldogs. Gladly for Bulldog Nation as Ojulari would spark the Dawgs defense to lead a comeback victory in Atlanta.
Ojulari finished his career with a bang as he recorded three sacks and four tackles. On the game’s final play, the junior out of Marietta would record his last sack that would go down as a safety.
Azeez Ojulari will finish his college career with 15 total sacks, 64 tackles, three forced fumbles, and 18.5 tackles for a loss.
