Breaking News: Brock Bowers Signs!

Brock Bowers signs with Georgia as a four-star tight end out of Napa, California. After committing in August of 2020, Brock has made it official he will head to Athens.

At 6’4 225 pounds, Bowers is just too big to play receiver, so he is an athletic receiving tight end who can make plays with his hands. Out of Napa, California, he will be a great addition next to Darnell Washington.

As a blocker, Bowers has shown that he knows how to seal an edge and let his runner beat the defender. There is still a lot of room for improvement ahead of Bowers in the blocking department, but he will learn quickly at a school like Georgia.

Bowers can track a ball like a receiver and can routinely make good catches. He has the size and speed to get past linebackers and cause problems for cornerbacks. He should immediately see snaps in Athens as a weapon for the Georgia offense.

Monken has proven in his time as a coordinator at the NFL level that he likes to use athletic tight ends; he has utilized the likes of OJ Howard and David Njoku in the past. Bowers will translate into this Monken offense very well.
