Breaking News: Jordan Davis Will Return for Senior Season

Nose tackle Jordan Davis will keep the trend going as the junior North Carolina native announced his intentions to return for a senior season in 2021.

Jordan Davis was atop the wishlist of Georgia fans’ this holiday season as the giant nose tackle’s effect on the game is bigger than his sheer size. Davis excels at eating up double teams and freeing up his teammates, while Jordan is left to fight two linemen instead of one.

Davis is a crucial leader for Georgia defensively as he excels at everything he does on the field. The nose tackle was praised by both sides in the lead-up to the Peach Bowl as Cinncinatti singled him out as a significant threat to the Bearcats offense. Simultaneously, the Georgia staff continued to praise the Charlotte native for his talent and work rate.

With Malik Herring departing for the NFL Draft on Tuesday, it means Davis will join defensive tackle Devontae Wyatt back in the trenches for the Dawgs defense. Both linemen do a tremendous job in stopping the run game.

Davis’s return to the Hedges further solidifies the middle of the Georgia defense as Nakobe Dean and his linebacker partner will run freely with the nose tackle taking the heat of a double team. Georgia gets back a significant run stopper and gap plugger as Jordan Davis will return for his senior season in Athens.
