Breaking News: Tyrion Ingram Dawkins Commits to the G!

Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, the number 4 prospect in South Carolina, has decided which school he will be attending for the foreseeable future. Ingram-Dawkins is one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the 2021 class and was sought after by many, including a few Georgia foes like Tennessee and South Carolina.

Dawkins narrowed down his offer sheet to just four schools, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. With South Carolina being the in-state team, it made them look like a realistic destination in 2020, where COVID-19 has seen recruits opt to stay close to home.

It seemed that both of the Carolina schools were in the driver’s seat for the talented defensive linemen for a while. But it was Georgia and the staff led by Kirby Smart that pushed hard after shutdown to acquire the services of Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins.

Tray Scott and Dan Lanning emphasized Dawkins as a target at the top of their board. Rightfully so, at 6’5 298 pounds, Dawkins brings the size and large frame you look for these days along the defensive line.

The explosion off the ball from Ingram-Dawkins pops off the screen when turning on his tape. A mismatch is waiting to happen on the interior in pass-rushing situations. His length and large frame will provide another body to stop the run.

Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins was a must get for Georgia, in my opinion. Dawkins is a guy that can come into a division one program and contribute early. A significant commitment for Georgia at a position that will need strengthening with the amount of talent expected to leave Athens in these next two seasons along the defensive line.
