28 Point Third Quarter Drives Georgia to Big Win over Missouri!

Georgia records its seventh win of the season with a 49-14 win on the road against Missouri. Georgia rode the coattails of a balanced offensive showing, with George Pickens and Zamir White leading the way.

After a shaky closing to the first half as Georgia struggled to a halt offensively in the second quarter, Missouri brought pressure defensively, rattling the Georgia passing game. Similarly, the Georgia ground game struggled to put up positive yardage.

After a late score before half to take back the lead with 21-14 over Missouri at halftime, Georgia rode the momentum into the second half. An offensive explosion saw Georgia put up 35 points unanswered from the ending of the first half to the end of the game.

JT Daniels connected with star sophomore receiver George Pickens as he finished his day with a dominant display; Pickens struggled to find consistency early on in the season with the uncertainty at quarterback, and an injury sidelined Pickens for two games.

Pickens was responsible for 126 yards of the 299 yards that JT Daniels threw. Five receptions and two touchdowns topped off an excellent performance from the sophomore from Hoover, Alabama.

Missouri’s gameplan defensively was effective early on as they put pressure in the face of JT Daniels. JT struggled for time in the pocket as Missouri defenders laid multiple hits on the redshirt sophomore.

JT finished the day with 299 yards and three touchdowns while completing 16 of his 27 passes. JT’s arm and confidence in his receivers made the difference for Georgia on offense.

The Georgia ground game continues to impose its will on its opponents. Georgia finished with an impressive 285 yards rushing, with Zamir White leading the way with 126 yards rushings and a touchdown on 12 carries.

Defensively, the Dawgs pitched a second-half shutout, which allowed Georgia’s offense to score 35 points unanswered.

The return of Jordan Davis along the defensive line made a difference for Georgia in the pass rush. Georgia was able to bring pressure upfront with just four linemen.

Eric Stokes started the day off hot for Georgia with an interception on the game’s first drive. That interception set up Georgia perfectly with a short field to go down and score. Georgia’s ground game shined as Kenny McIntosh capitalized on the turnover with a touchdown.

Georgia improves to 7-2 on the season after a dominating win over the 25th ranked Missouri Tigers on the road.
